Kate has lived in Ashton Hayes since 1987.  She became involved in the Going Carbon Neutral Project in 2006 and has visited communities across England and Wales – and in Norway and The Netherlands - to share the ‘Ashton Hayes Experience’.  She is a director of the Community Energy Company and of the Ashton Hayes & Mouldsworth Community Shop. Currently working on acquiring the local pub as a community venture. Kate also works with the Plunkett Foundation as a community adviser; helping groups who want to start a community business such as a shop or pub.
